A Technology and Healthcare IT Leader with a Vision

Transform

I have over 30 years of experience in technology and healthcare, spanning both the Healthcare Provider space (25 years) and Microsoft/Healthcare (5 years). I have acquired extensive knowledge and skills in both domains, and I have a clear vision of how to leverage technology to transform healthcare outcomes and operations. I possess excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills, and I have a proven track record of facilitating transformational and business process enhancement discussions, aligning solutions that reduce complexity, improve processes, and increase revenue. My areas of expertise include: Digital Transformation, Technology Transformation, Digital Collaboration, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS Cloud Solutions. In 2021, I joined Montefiore Information Technology at Montefiore Hospital as the Manager of the Network Architecture Team, where I oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the network infrastructure.

Family

My life revolves around two things: my work and my family. I have a challenging and rewarding job that requires me to work long hours, especially after the COVID-19 Pandemic changed the way we do business.

But when I am not working, I dedicate most of my time to sharing life with my wife and our 7-year-old French Bulldog. He is a loyal and playful companion who brightens our days with his antics and snuggles. He is also a great conversation starter, as many people are curious about his breed and his personality. We love taking him for walks, playing with him, and spoiling him with treats. He is a big part of our family and our happiness.

Hobbies

Thoughts of Midnite

I have a variety of hobbies that involve creating and appreciating visual content. I enjoy computer graphics from creating to enjoying it. I play a variety of PC games with my favorites being Doom, Quake, F1 23 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. I also enjoy creating 3D art, using software such as 3D Studio Max, Cinema 4D and Blender. My other passions are photography, and especially, aviation photography.

While I do take pictures of people, my favorite subjects are nature and product photography. For a great part of each year, I enjoy Formula 1 racing, which is the highest class of single-seater, open wheel auto racing which combines cutting edge technology, science, speed and skill from the best drivers and teams in the world!

What about ME

My Story

I have been fascinated by technology since the early 1980s, when I started tinkering with computers and learning how they work. I got my first professional experience in IT in the early 90s, when I joined NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital as a network engineer. I learned a lot from working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where I had to deal with complex and challenging problems.

Besides IT, I have another passion: photography. I have been taking photos for over 35 years, and I love capturing stories and emotions with my camera. I specialize in wedding photography, but I also enjoy doing maternity and lifestyle sessions. I have a website where I showcase some of my work, and I also sell some of my photos on stock platforms.

I’m also a fan of military aviation and Formula 1 racing. I admire the speed, power, and precision of these machines, and I like to watch them in action. I have been to several air shows and races, and I always take my camera with me to capture the moments.

In 2018, I left NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and joined Microsoft/Healthcare, where I worked for 5 years. I was part of a team that helped healthcare organizations leverage technology to improve their outcomes and operations. I enjoyed working with Microsoft/Healthcare, but I also wanted to explore new opportunities and challenges.

That’s why, in 2021, I joined Montefiore Health System as the Manager of the Network Architecture Team. I’m responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure at Montefiore Hospital, one of the largest and most advanced hospitals in the country. I’m excited to be part of this organization, and I look forward to contributing to its mission and vision.
